One thing I have learned within my skincare routine is that I don’t like having such a long cleansing process. When I think about having to clean my face I dread going through the long step just to get ready for the day. Plus, being a mom, I can’t spend thirty-minutes to an hour at the bathroom sink with a newborn. I need a quick regimen that I can that can save me time.

When it comes to outstanding skincare products, Korea is known for listening to its consumers and creating quality products that actually do what it says, like rejuvenating the skin. Other cosmetic companies try to compete but definitely can not compare. This routine may seem extreme for some but for a Korean woman, this is implemented daily. The products used in this skincare routine are raved about all around.  This routine promises to improve the appearance of healthier and younger-looking skin. I don’t know about you, but ya girl always down to improving my skin.

Having dry and dull-looking skin around this time of year, switching up my routine is definitely a must. Being that I enjoy applying makeup to my face, working with a blank canvas is easier than working to cover dark marks and acne. Since I have been focusing more on skincare routine to better the look of my skin, I found this bad baby and could not help but to introduce it to my readers. Let’s hop right on into this routine so that you, my friend, can start working on the appearance of your skin shortly after this read.

How To Do The Korean Skincare Routine

1. Remove Makeup With An Oil Cleanser

So first you want to start off by washing your face with an oil cleanser. Now, when I was researching into oil-cleansing because I have never heard of it. I became curious about how to properly oil to cleanse your face and with what specific kinds of oils. Oil cleansing is a lot popular than I thought it was. So how oil cleansing actually works is it works together with the natural and good oils that are on our face in removing the bad oils out. Some of these oils can be either naturally produced sebum or come from products used on the skin such as makeup. SHOP Oil Cleanser

2. Foam/Cream Cleanser

Yes, along with oil cleansing you’re going to follow up with a foam or cream cleanser. This cream-based cleanser will remove the oil that you used to cleanse in the beginning. Find a cleanser that is either foam or cream that work best for your skin. I have sensitive and with that comes acne with the wrong product. So always do a test patch on your skin before applying it all over. SHOP CLEANSER

3. Toner

It’s time to restore balance back into the face by applying an all-natural toner. Cleansing your face twice can cause your skin PH levels to become unbalanced. The toner may already be in your skin routine but if not, toner is known for restoring and balancing out your skins PH levels. Instead of using a regular toner known in many skincare routines, this routine uses a face mist in place of the toner. I thought a face toner was the same as a face mist but it isn’t. Did you know that if you use an alcohol-based toner that it may cause dry irritated skin? A Face mist contains nourishing oils and hydrates this SHOP Toner

4. Serum

It’s time to add the good stuff into your skin and prepare yourself for the day or night. A good face serum in this regimen is important. If you are unaware of what a face serum does, it isn’t a moisturizer. There are two types of face serums and you ask which one is used within the Korean skincare routine? A water-based face serum penetrates your skin underneath your face moisturizer with tiny nourishing molecules. SHOP Face Serum

5. Moisturizer

You want to lock all the hard work you have done in by applying a moisturizer. A good moisturizer penetrates the skin and hydrates the skin. Do not get moisturizing confused for a face serum. A face serum doesn’t keep the face hydrated it only nourish the skin. Applying a moisturizer with beneficial ingredients is extremely important for improving your skin appearance and look.
